Lisa Hanfileti from Insights for Acupuncturists organized a teleseminar on websites for acupuncturists. The bottom line is, if you don’t have a website, you’re losing patients and money.

Period.

You can download the seminar mp3 here, or listen to it here:

I asked Robin Green, L.Ac. to speak for me on this teleseminar. She’s a satisfied client and I thought it would be good for people to hear from her firsthand experiences. As Robin said on the call, she paid for her website with just one new patient in January. The patients she gets the rest of the year cost her nothing and bring her a lot of additional income. (If you think about it, that’s better than free.)

A website is simply the most cost-effective way to advertise your clinic. Even if you don’t use my service, PLEASE get one to help build your clinic. Here are the presenters on the call - you may want to consider one of their services:

  • Lisa Hanfileti talked about Site-Build-It. Site-Build-It is excellent, I talk more about it below.
  • Jen Givler offers website coaching.
  • Robin Green talked about her horror story with another website service. She switched to Acupuncture Clinic Websites (my service) and now has the website she wants.
  • Spence presented Chinese Medicine Websites. Chinese Medicine Websites uses Drupal. I’m a bit of a nerd, and I can tell you that Drupal is technically excellent. It’s great for more complicated sites that involve memberships and a user community. I’ve actually tried using this software for this website (and two others), but it wasn’t right for my purposes.
I highly recommend talking to these guys if you’re an acupuncture organization that needs membership listings, or if you want to run a forum. CommunityAcupunctureNetwork.org and ChineseMedicineTools.com both use Drupal.
  • Frank Prieto talked about NewAcupuncturePatients.com. I’ve already mentioned Frank before. I’ve seen his clients around the web, and they seem to rank high in search engine listings. They seem successful even in competitive markets like New York City.
  • Kevin Doherty presented on the Dream Practice Website Package.

This teleseminar was a kick-off introduction to Lisa’s book. She wrote Complementary & Alternative Marketing: How to Attract New Patients, Market Your Practice, and Earn Passive Income With Your Acupuncture Website. In it, she details how she made $11,168.81 in her first year online, working part time.

You can read more about it here.
